The Stars continued their tradition of players drafted by the USHL with three players from last season’s team and another from the 2008/9 season selected in the May 19 entry draft.

Coach Adam Robbins commented on this year’s draft;
“The Tier 1 Elite League continues to show how the quality of teams and strength of schedule has contributed to an increase in the number of players each year from the league that have moved on to the USHL. The Stars have been a significant part of that growth in the past few seasons with a total of eleven players drafted and playing in the USHL.
I am extremely proud of the players selected this year and the others that have been drafted in the past few years. Their dedication and hard work has paid off in their pursuit of playing Junior and College hockey.”
