Worth Noting
Jon was born in Calgary, Alberta in 1991 and has dual Canadian and U.S. citizenship. He started playing as a mini-mite at age five following his family's move to the Dallas area. His hockey highlights include: Jon started travel hockey at age seven with the Dallas Jr. Stars. He later moved to the Dallas Alliance organization where he made two Bronze medal appearances at the PeeWee and Midget Minor level at the USA Hockey National Tournament. Last year Jon made his third appearance at Nationals with the Stars making it to the quarter-final round. Away from the hockey rink: He excels as a student at Colleyville Heritage high school with a +4.0 GPA and enjoys golf, tennis, soccer, beach volleyball, and moviemaking. His younger brother, Joel, continues the family hockey tradition playing for the Dallas Jr. Stars. Jon aspires to continue his hockey at the USHL and college level. |
