Ben was born in 1990 Woodbury, MN, growing up and playing his youth hockey in Minnesota.  Prior to joining the Stars this season he played for Woodbury High School as a forward and defenseman and was the leading scorer at the Minnesota State Tournament in 2008.

His hockey highlights include:

2008 – 3rd place finish at Minnesota State Championship

2007 – Woodbury High School Rookie of the Year

2007 – Led Woodbury High School to first State Tournament appearance in 35 years

Away from the hockey rink:
Ben enjoys music and fishing and has started on work towards his college degree.

Future Plans:
Ben looks forward to playing Junior hockey next year and for a Division 1 Collegiate team thereafter.
