Tyler was born in Overalnd Park, KS and currently resides in McKinney, TX where he is a senior at McKinney Boyd High School.

Prior to joining the Stars this season Tyler played for the Dallas Junior Penguins U16AAA team.

Tyler's accomplishments have included three Texas State Championships, two Rocky Mountain District Player Development Camps, and 2009 participation at the USA Hockey Select 17 camp.  He was also Assistant Captain during the 2008-9 season with DJHA.
