Worth Noting
Matt was born in Richmond, VA and now lives in Highland Village, TX. He started playing travel hockey at age 10 after moving to the Dallas area. Last season Matt was an integral part of the Stars success and 2nd place finish at the USA Hockey Tier 1 National Tournament. Prior to the Stars, Matt played for the Dallas Alliance Midget Minor U16 AAA serving as captain and Alliance U16 Prep teams where he was co-captain. His hockey highlights include: Matt has played on six Texas state championship teams and finished 3rd at USA Hockey Nationals Tier II Nationals in 2004 with the Dallas Alliance PeeWee team. Away from the hockey rink: Matt is a senior at Marcus High School in Flower Mound, TX and has an older brother Travis who played for the Stars in the 2007-8 season and now plays for the University of Oklahoma hockey team. Future Plans: He looks forward to continuing his hockey at the Junior and Collegiate level. |
