Axel was born in Fort Worth, TX and started playing travel hockey at the age of 12.  Prior to joining the Stars he played for the Dallas Alliance Midge Major AAA and Midget Minor AAA teams playing both as a forward and defenseman and an assistant captain.

His hockey highlights include:

2007 – 3rd place finish at Tier 1 Nationals with Dallas Alliance Midget Major AAA

2007 - Rocky Mountain Regional Semi-Finals with Dallas Alliance Midget Major AAA

2007 - Participated in Rocky Mountain Regional Festival

2006 – Bronze Medal finish at Tier 1 Nationals with Dallas Alliance Midget Minor AAA

Away from the hockey rink:

Axel is a senior at Willow Bend Academy in Lewisville, TX and is an Eagle Scout.

Future Plans:

Axel looks forward to playing Junior hockey next year and for a Division 1 Collegiate team thereafter.
